About Earthfort

Matt Slaughter brings over two years of dedicated soil science experience to his work, having managed and directed laboratory soil testing operations in Corvallis, Oregon since acquiring the lab in 2011. His career began in 2003 by building foundational database systems for soil analysis, establishing a deep, data-driven approach to understanding soil biological health.

Over the past two decades, Matt has provided testing and biological consulting across most of the continental United States and internationally, working with every major crop type. Today, his focus remains centered on practical, biological soil analysis and direct agricultural consulting—helping growers understand and revive their soil through clear diagnostic testing and ecological insight. When he isn't in the lab or the field, he can usually be found exploring the Oregon woods with his wife and dog.
